Sustainable Tourism

At Asian Oasis, we’ve always believed that travel should be about more than just visiting beautiful places; it should leave a positive impact. From the beginning, our goal has been to create meaningful experiences that celebrate Thailand’s rich heritage while protecting the environment and supporting local communities.

Whether it’s staying at one of our eco-lodges, cruising along the Chao Phraya River on Mekkala, or exploring a hill tribe village, we ensure that every experience reflects our commitment to sustainability. We work closely with local communities, providing fair employment, education, and support, while making sure our activities align with nature and cultural preservation.

Community Collaboration

Our lodges are nestled within local communities predominantly composed of ethnic hill tribe minorities. These communities have played a pivotal role in the development and operations of our lodges from the very beginning, ensuring an authentic and enriching experience for our guests.

Climate Resilient Architecture

The buildings at Lisu Lodge are thoughtfully designed to reflect the rich traditions of the hill tribe communities while incorporating eco-friendly principles. Constructed using natural materials, our structures minimize environmental impact and energy consumption.

While energy-efficient air conditioning is available, we encourage guests to use it sparingly. Each house is built with a traditional understanding of climate control, featuring stilts, high roofing, and natural materials that promote free airflow throughout the day. This design makes air conditioning unnecessary for most months of the year.

Supporting Local Businesses

Tour activities are run by members of the local community, ensuring an authentic experience with first-hand knowledge. Our team consists of local community members who strive to procure resources needed for operations from within their own families and communities, fostering a strong support network and promoting sustainable local business practices.
