I am writing to tell you that I recently completed a 3 day hiking tour through the mountain villages north of Chiang Mai. My guide was Wan Chai, and I believe that this was his first guided tour under the umbrella of your company.
I would like to say what an amazing job he did, from showing and explaining many aspects of the lives of the inhabitants of this region to cooking delicious meals for the group. His primary concern was always for the enjoyment, comfort and safety of his guests, as illustrated in the attached photo, where he walked into a river without hesitation to help us cross over without falling in.
Wan Chai's command of the English language was very good- walking with him for those few days really gave me a sense of the lives of the people living in this part of the world.
He is kind, modest, and extremely hard working- I hope that this endorsement will encourage you to consider him to guide many similar expeditions in the future! That tour remains for me a highlight of my stay in Thailand, and I feel privileged to have seen a part of this beautiful country which is not on the well beaten tourist path.
